University Culture Club
The University Culture Club – 20 years of smiling faces and twinkling eyesThe essence of the University Culture Club is expressed by openness to everything new and exciting and the will to organize something spectacular and/or useful. The Culture Club has 40 volunteers, who are current or former students of the institutions of higher education in Tartu. What makes the Club unique is that twice a year it organizes a culture and youth festival encompassing the whole town and offering young people the opportunity to participate in organising a major event and gain many useful experiences through this.
Active and enthusiastic members of this club are at the core of all the exciting events taking place during the Student Days. The contributions of the members are summed up twice a year into two great festival weeks, offering rest and recreation.
The University Culture Club is the carrier of more than 30-year-old tradition of the Tartu Student Days. The organisers have gathered under the name Culture Club since 1987; therefore, in the year 2007, the Culture Club celebrated its 20-year anniversary.
The festival week entails an all-encompassing synergy that gives energy and willpower to participants and guests as well as organisers and supporters for a very long period of time. The Culture Club wants to say a huge thank you to all the friends of the Student Days, who during those 20 years have helped to turn all those great ideas into reality. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Faithfully yours,
University Culture Club
