Tartu Studentdays almost-almost here!
Music-loving student!
StudentSong (Tudengilaul) is approaching - this time the competition will take place on April 27th at club Kink Konk in Tartu.
The traditional Student Spring Days event will once again focus on finding the songs and the performances that represent best the true essence of student-hood.
This years competition will witness the crowning of the 38th StudentSong's winner, whose name shall be written to the annals of history with fame and glory. Who will win? Perhaps it will be You!
How to claim Your fame? Simple enough - dust off your acoustic instruments, sing a bit of do-re-mi, gather some mates (if solo acts are not your thing) and record 2-3 original demos. And don't forget, since this is StudentSong, at least one member of your group must be a university student!
The deadline for demos is April 20th. Send your music and a filled out paricipation form to tartu.tudengipaevad@gmail.com. The next step requires patience, as a team of well-trained ears listen to all the submissions and carefully pick out 7 bands to perform on stage. The qualifiers will be announced on April 23rd.
The final concert will be a spectacular show, judged by an expert jury and the audience. The overall winner of StudentSong 2012 will take home a check for 650 euros, presented by IS Music Team.
So - no time for hesitation! Follow the guidelines stated above and prepare to find your band in the company of past StudentSong winners such as Kruuv, Miyki and Eneseimetlejate Klubi.
