Participants must be atleast 18 years old.
Event participants must be sober.
Since there is a chance off falling into water, participants must know how to swim.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The event consists of two parts. First, two-person teams will build a raft on site using materials and tools provided by the organizers. In the second part, teams must row their completed raft from Delta to the Kaarsild. The finish line is considered crossed once the team has rowed their raft underneath the Kaarsild. The winner will be determined based on the combined score of jury points awarded for raft construction and the time spent rowing.

EVENT RULES:
1. RAFT BUILDING

  • The materials and tools required for building the rafts will be provided at the event location by the organizer.
  • Basic construction materials are guaranteed for all participants. These include one pallet, two 20L beer kegs, four 5×5 beams, six 40x40x40 mm brackets, 20 meters of rope, twenty screws, and ten nails. Additionally, there will be a “shop” where teams can purchase extra materials for raft construction using the designated event currency.
  • In addition to the basic materials, each team will be provided with a cordless drill, saw, hammer, and knife for use during construction.
  • Participants are additionally allowed to bring a multitool and one personal non-electric tool. All personal tools must be registered in advance via the participant form. No other tools (except those provided by the organizers) may be used.
  • Each team may bring 3 large items and 2 small items. Teams may be creative in selecting these items but must comply with the organizers’ requirements. Brought items may not be flotation devices (e.g., raft, inflatable boat, etc.) or boat engines (or similar motors). A large item must not exceed dimensions of 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 meters, and a small item must not exceed 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 meters.
  • All additional items must be listed in the form provided by the organizers after registration. No later than one week before the event, organizers will review the submitted items and either approve them or require teams to select alternative items if they do not comply.
  • Every team must build a flag that represents the team’s name for their raft. Materials for the flag can be bought from the “store” on site or brought by the team.
  • Each team will be assigned a designated construction area where they may plan and build their raft. The construction time limit is 2.5 hours.
  • Main construction must take place within the designated building area. Minor adjustments may be made elsewhere. Minor adjustments refer to fixes that do not require tools (except a personal multitool). Any adjustments requiring tools must be carried out within the construction area.

2. TECHNICAL INSPECTION

  • After completion, the raft must pass a technical inspection conducted by an organizer-appointed inspector to ensure quality and safety before entering the water. The technical inspection must be completed within the designated construction time. Once the construction time has ended, the raft can no longer be submitted for inspection.
  • Participants must transport their raft from the construction area to the inspection area by their own means.
  • The technical inspector has the right to deny water access if faults are identified that could cause the raft to fall apart once in the water.
  • Teams that fail the inspection may repair and resubmit their raft for inspection up to three times. After the third unsuccessful attempt, the team will be disqualified.

3. RAFT ON WATER

  • After passing the technical inspection, participants must launch the raft into the water themselves.
  • Both team members must wear a helmet and life jacket when boarding the raft in the water. These will be provided by the organizer.
  • All 12 teams will compete simultaneously in the water. After the mass start signal, all participants must row their flotation device toward the finish line.
  • The raft must be in a sitting/squatting/standing position. It is prohibited to be on the raft while lying on your stomach and to push off with your feet over the raft.
  • Sabotaging other teams is strictly prohibited.
  • On the way to the finish line, teams may stop at prize islands where they can earn special rewards or tools that make steering the raft easier.
  • The top three teams will be determined based on the combined result of jury points and rowing time.
  • After crossing the finish line, teams must proceed to the dock in front of Atlantis, where the organizing team will assist them in exiting the water. If exiting the water at Atlantis is not possible, teams may use the alternative dock next to Tartu Market Hall.
  • After the race, participants must dismantle their raft independently in accordance with the organizers’ instructions.

  • The organizer of the event does not take responsibility for injuries or damage to the health of the participants that occurred during the event. Each registrant and participant in the game is responsible for their own safety and health.
  • Every participant must be aware of the competition rules and sign a waiver.
  • By registering for the competition, the participant confirms that they agree to all the rules of the competition.
  • By registering for the competition, the participant consents to being photographed or filmed by photographers and videographers present at the event.
